In Kenya, many parents see more value in marrying their young daughters off for a dowry of cattle rather than sending them to secondary school. Child marriage can lead to extremely dangerous situations that may include teenage pregnancy and cultural practices such as female genital mutilation. With the scholarships provided by Come Unity, our girls can both stay safe and change the status quo.

The Dignity Kits provide the girls with the basic needs they otherwise could not afford or would not have access to. This relieves the families of fees and keeps the girls healthy throughout their schooling. Having the essentials to keep yourself clean allows the girls to both take pride in their appearance and grow their self confidence. A Dignity Kit will help show each of our girls their true self worth and give them the motivation they need to create a better world for the future generations of their country.
