What’s in a Kit?

The Essentials

ToothBrush & Toothpaste

A toothbrush and some toothpaste is the first step towards a healthy body.

Hand Soap

Especially post pandemic, hand soap is essential.

Underwear

We collect donations of all size underwear in the US. (In 2019 we collected two suitcases full)

Laundry Detergent

The girls wash their clothes together and hang them dry.

Pads

On my first trip I was made aware girls were told to sit in the sand when they received their period.

Vaseline

Vaseline helps to keep them neat and clean, a Kenyan essential.

Toilet Paper

A necessity.

Shoe Polish

Looking uniform is important to every school, polish helps to keep their shoes squeaky clean.

In 2019 we packaged each kit in a red drawstring bag. This kept everything neat and gave the girls something special and practical to use throughout the semester.
